Kivo raises funds for Amatrice earthquake victims with classic pasta dish
Kivo Skiathos Collection raises funds for the victims of Amatrice earthquake with the towns classic pasta dish
- Kivo Creative Greek restaurants make donations from sales of Pasta Amatriciana dish.
- Kivo’s Chef’s – Giannis Baxevanis & Jérôme Serres – add the traditional all’amatriciana pasta dish to the menu.
- €2 from each sale will be donated to the Italian Red Cross plus €200 from Kivo Skiathos collection.
- This fundraising campaign will last until the 10th of October to help the earthquake victims.
After the several earthquakes that occurred this year in many regions in Italy, restaurants all over the world have tried to raise funds for the earthquake victims. Kivo Creative Greek restaurant is one of them! One of the towns which was vanished by the earthquake was Amatrice – a town known for its traditional all’amatriciana pasta sauce – killing at least 268 people and injuring 400.
Kivo’s chef’s will be adding to their menu the specific dish – spaghetti in a tomato sauce with pork cheek and pecorino cheese – where €2 will be going to the Italian Red Cross. On top of that Kivo Skiathos Collection will be adding a donation of €200 to the amount which will be collected at the end. With this donation we will be helping the ongoing rescuing mission of the Italian Red cross to help the earthquake victims but also the volunteers to provide food and support to those who have lost their loved ones.
Before this devastating earthquake, Amatrice had organised to have its 50th annual food festival celebrating the spaghetti all’amatriciana dish.
